Arts examination courses are led by Dawn Burrows, a highly qualified and experienced Head of Art and Textiles. Dawn has experience leading three Art Departments in secondary schools in Jersey with outstanding results. Dawn also has a Certificate in Arts Counselling from The Institute for Arts in Education and Therapy, London, and the courses are inclusive to all students with individual learning difference and needs.. All courses take place at our registered examination centre at The Harbour Gallery, and are verified by the Edexcel Examination Board. Exam fees are payable at the time of entry.
Art in the Frame provides sponsorship or part sponsorship on the courses for some students who may not be able to afford the course fees, materials and examination entry costs. Application for consideration for a sponsored place is on the attached form. We are supportive of students from a range of backgrounds and can offer full and part scholarship places.
Each course may be one or two years in duration, dependent on the ability of the student and the commitment to working outside the tutored hours. The timing of the lessons can be slightly flexible to allow for travelling time to the gallery after school/work. All courses are available to students and adults from 13 years and above.
Class sizes are restricted to a maximum of 10 students to give maximum individual tuition time. Each two hour session is £20 with fees payable termly in advance. Some materials will be provided and more specialist ones can be purchased at 10% discount from the gallery shop.
