Due to illness we had to previously cancel this course but it will be taking place on 26th September.
The aim of this course is to give you the opportunity to understand and practise
the process of lino cutting and printing. You will enjoy developing your mark making skills under the guidance of your tutor. This course is suitable for all levels of experience. Materials will be provided and will also be on sale, with a 10% discount on the day,
in the Gallery if you wish to carry on being creative.
You will be working on individual designs using a hand cutting tool, lino and water based printing inks. By the end of the day you will have made at least one A5 lino block and printed a picture ready to be framed or to make into cards to send to family and friends.
We will be covering the following over the day:
- Making a reference sheet of cutting techniques.
- Creating a design on lino.
- Simple printing in one colour
Lino printing is a relief printing process. It is a form of Fine Art printing and can include simple design work, or complex and intricate. Come and have a go.
Cost: £40 for the day to include materials, 4 free places for students in full time education, age 12 years or over sponsored by Art in the Frame Foundation.
A 10% discount on any art, craft or textile materials purchased on July 3rd will be given to any student on this course.
