The Diversity group is creating ‘Structures’ at The Harbour Gallery Jersey
Art in the Frame Foundation, the managing charity of The Harbour Gallery Jersey at St Aubin, is pleased to announce the Diversity group exhibition ‘Structures’, opening on 17th October and running until 3rd November.
‘Structures’ is a textile exhibition by the Diversity group, led by Di Richardson and based at The Harbour Gallery Jersey in St Aubin. Consisting of regular members plus a small number of invited guests, the group this year is including work from up and coming students from Highlands College and past A Level students from the Gallery now studying degree courses in London and New York.
Di and the group are delighted that Alysn Midgelow-Marsden will be officially opening the exhibition, taking part in the exhibition herself as well as running public workshops at the gallery on Fri 18th, Sat 19th and Sun 20th October.
Pat Robson, charity chairman and gallery director says “Art in the Frame Foundation is thrilled to be exhibiting the work of not only our own local Diversity group, but the work of one of our A Level students who is now studying in New York, and the work of those who have studied Art Textiles to Foundation Level at Highlands College and are now at university in the UK. Plus, we have the added bonus of international textile artist Alysn Midgelow-Marsden exhibiting and opening this very special exhibition, and also running workshops at the gallery and at a local school. This is a very colourful and visual exhibition that is not to be missed!”
The exhibition opening evening is taking place on Thursday 17th October, 6.30pm – 8.00pm, at The Harbour Gallery Jersey in St Aubin with the official opening at 7pm by Alysn Midgelow-Marsden.
Refreshments will be provided along with a raffle in aid of Art in the Frame Foundation, the managing charity of The Harbour Gallery Jersey, to support the educational and artist promotional activities, in this the charity’s 21st year.
The exhibition continues until Sunday 3rd November.
